Favorite quotes from the book:

· "Life is a series of pulls back and forth. You want to do one thing, but you are bound to do something else." (p.40)

- this means that when you want to do something you feel like you cant because of a previous or decision. However, this is life and that’s what it comes to.

· "Love each other or die." (p.163)
- this is saying that when you don’t love the world and the people around you should just die because you have nothing to live for if you don’t have love.

· "The fact is, there is no foundation, no secure ground, upon which people may stand today if it isn't the family." (p.91)
- This means that family is the most important thing in the world and the only thing in the end that people can fall back onto in times of need. However, if you don’t have family then you are alone out there in the world.

· "When you learn how to die, you learn how to live." (p.104)
- This means that you can’t truly learn how to live until you learn that you are going to die and you accept it. You can’t cherish what life you have unless you learn how really short it is.

· "Death ends a life, not a relationship." (p.174)
- This is saying that when you die it doesn’t end your relationships with your loved ones but it only ends a life. Even after you die your relationships still exist with the ones that you left.

Essential questions??:
1.) What do you value most in life?
- I value my family and friends more than anything in life. If you dont have love in your life, which your family provides, then you have nothing. Most people need someone to fall back onto in times of need and a family is usually the only support that you can find.
2.) Who are the people that influence you most in your life?
- Many times people look up to the people they are closest too, people such as mothers, fathers, siblings, and other family. Usually what the parents do and how they act reflects on the decisions their children will make in life. However, sometimes people are influenced by bad role models. They persuaded into following people with the most power, sometimes power means money or fame. Movie stars influence how we dress, act, and how we strive for our dreams, but we don’t even know them!
3.) What is life's greatest lesson?
-To live your life to your standards not anyone else’s. If you don’t want to be a doctor in your life don’t, if its not one of your standards don’t strive for it. Only thing that can make happiness and success in your life is by living how you want to live and be content when doing it.
